Age bar for studying - How about Ph.D @ 91?

There is no age bar to study history and culture for seniors after 60, for that matter Ph.D.

University of Pune has altered regulations for seniors for the first time in its history, that the degree holders of any stream can apply for Ph.D. in any subject.

91-year-old Prakash Mohadikar would be first candidate to apply for the Ph.D. under this scheme.

While addressing this news with one of the leading newspaper in India, the Vice-Chancellor Narendra Jadhav said “Senior citizens are a pool of experience. If used properly, their experience can be a great help to society. The university will channelise this energy through the centre.”

As part of 20 initiatives in its academic master plan 2020, University of Pune encourages senior citizens to revisit education with 80 to 100% fee waivers and entrance examination.
